I've noticed that when tiger saves files to a location (i.e. say I download some files from the net into a selected folder) that the files become interlaced ontop of one another. It seems now my HD's folders are littered with this? Any ideas what could be causing this?

You can do a couple of things

1) Go to the finder and on the top bar, hit "View -> Clean up"
2) Go to the finder window and hit "View -> Arrange -> (insert method of organization here)"

To insure that this won't happen, go to finder and then click on "View -> Show View Options" and click on "Snap to grid"

Hope this helps!

I found this only happened when my desktop was completely full and cluttered (on my old 12" iBook) when I was working on a website and had all files everywhere, but poster above me has your answers. :)
