Can someone who is actually running the GM of Tiger shed some light on what JVM is included? There is conflicting information on the apple page about this, one page says "the latest, certified release" (i.e. Java 1.5) and another says Java 1.4.2.

1.5 is coming later after the release of 10.4. Expect it probably around the time of WWDC.

There's an ADC seed for 1.5 release candidate 1. It is rather hard to believe how long it takes Apple update Java. They've been seeding 1.5 betas for months.

I believe this has to do with the level of integration Java has in OS X, which is much higher than everywhere else. I could be wrong tho.
