ive got an early 2006 MBP base model with 1gb of ram...its a secondary computer that I have hooked up to an external monitor just to play around with and mainly surf the net and stream music...tiger runs pretty snappy but id rather run snow leopard...with only 1gb of ram which one should I go with...the main problem I have with tiger is that a bunch of apps i run (mainly Rdio) arent compatible with tiger...other than that its fine...

edit - sorry should read early 2006 MBP

Why not meet in the middle and go with Leopard? Snow Leopard should run OK, but it definitely wouldn't be as snappy as it would with Tiger. If you can, get another gig of ram.

Well with leopard I'm kinda in the same boat as tiger as far as what apps will run...and like I said not real interested in upgrading anything...
