Tiger OS question: forgotten Admin password

A friend of mine has a 3 year old mac and still runs Tiger on it. It seems that he has forgotten the administrative password, you, the one that is needed to add a new program or change systems settings. (He does remember the userid/password). So now the question:

what does one do if you have forgotten the admin password? Please be very specific.

If so Apple provide a support document for this exact thing.
