I was thinking - it sure would be nice if we could be 100% certain that the leaked BitTorrent copy of Tiger is the same as the retail version. I preordered Tiger the day it came out, but I'm getting impatient, especially knowing the leaked version is just sitting on my drive. On the other hand, I don't want to install the leaked version, only to find out that there's something wrong with it, and I'll have to reinstall the retail version anyway when I get it.
So, if someone could create a DMG from the retail copy of Tiger, and post its MD5 checksum, we can compare it to the checksum of the leaked copy, and see if they're the same.
The checksum of the leaked copy is:
60dd2d54b7b0a88af719ed71b7018e91 tiger-xiso.dmg
For the curious, you can generate an MD5 checksum for a file at the command line, by typing md5sum file-name.
