My son recently bought a MB that came with a family pak of Leopard. I could upgrade my MB from Tiger to Leopard (with his family pak), and then go to SL, or, I could go from Tiger to SL with the box set. Any advantages/disadvantages of doing it one way or the other? Thanks.

Well upgrading from Leopard will only cost you $30, as opposed to $170 for the box set. How did his MB come with a family pack though?

$30 vs. $170 is a no-brainer.

Install Leopard, then install Snow Leopard. For the hour or so extra it will take to do two installs instead of one, you save $140.
