Tiger to Snow Leopard!!!

I've been using Tiger since it came out, both at work and at home!!!

I work in prepress and all of our Rip Servers cant utilize Leopard, so we are still on Tiger, 10.4! Had no reason at home to upgrade either, until NOW!!!

Just ordered i5, was wondering how much different Snow Leopard is from Tiger!!!!

Speaking of which, don't we have to upgrade to Leopard before upgrading to Snow Leopard? In other words, we can't jump from Tiger to Snow Leopard, correct?

you can go from Tiger -> SL without installing Leopard

I love its!!!! The dock for instance is way prettier. I love the advancements in finder such as spaces, new front row, finder dashboard, etc. Snow Leopard just murders Tiger in speed and stability. although a lot of tiger apps don't work on S. Leopard....... ....... But other than that it is a Very fun upgrade!

ShapeShifter is a hack, so naturally it breaks with each new release of OS X. Last I heard it wasn't even working with Leopard.

There are many other apps out there like shapeshifter for 10.6; as for Parallels, there is a beta program for mac on the parallels website that gives you free licenses!

just upgrade to parallels 4. works better anyway.

as for upgrading from tiger to snow leopard, it needs to be an intel based machine, otherwise you can't make the upgrade
