After some recent automatic updates, mail and internet became unstable. Mail unable to shut down and internet unable to respond. I've checked internet connections, thrown away caches, cookies and changed the modem. Someone suggested that the updates were for Leopard and were not compatible with Tiger. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

Same thing happened to me. I downloaded and installed the iTunes 8.01, Java 10.4, and security updates about 30 min ago and immediately upon reboot Safari is acting very strange. Websites don't load and eventually I get the spinning beach ball which never stops. Firefox works fine, which is the browser I'm posting on now. I have restarted twice and still have the same problem with Safari. Mail, however, seems to be working fine.

After having to use FF the past couple days, Safari mysterious works again (so far). Is it still buggy for you?
