does anyone know how much the discount will be, if there is going to be one that is. According to what I have heard, it seems like Tiger is going to be priced at $129 USD. would an EDU Discount bring it down to $99... or at least $109? If so, then im gonna preorder it as soon as its available on the Apple Store.

I think Panther was $69 or $79 with discount. Maybe Tiger will be the same.

The difference in software prices is generally quite significant (though hardware purchase, by percentage, are less significant). In Canadian dollars, for example, iWork is $65 education, $99 regular.

you might want to check with the institution you are involved with to see if they will be getting a site license of tiger.

I dont think they are. It will probably be a while before they upgrade their iMac G5's to Tiger... and their book store doesnt carry software
