Tight (as in too small) dock connector?

Anyone else seem like they really have to struggle to push in/pull out the connector cable? It almost scares me when I am pulling really hard trying to release it. It is much tighter than the original iphone or any ipod i've ever used even when they were new.

Mine is a rather tight fit, but thats how it was when activating in the Apple Store too so I figure it's ok.
