If your bill is due more than five days out from today, and your current bill would be due before the new phone comes out and you're strapped for cash, call AT&T and change your bill due date! Your bill must be more than five days away from being due or five days past from being due and you can't be delinquent on your bill. Just change your bill due date to a date past the more than lilkely 21st launch date and you'll be all set! Hope this helps for some!

If someone needs to resort to these tricks in order to pay for their new iPhone, they have more important thinks to spend their money on than a new iPhone.

Yeah, an iPhone may not be your best investment if you don't have enough money for it.. Maybe try food or something more important.

How about you just pay your bill on time?

I'm not strapped for cash, but I could see where this could be helpful for someone buying the phone outright that has a $200+ bill due the same week. It's nothing illegal, nor does it hurt ur credit or status with the carrier. I think it's a good idea for people on tighter budgets. Cut the guy a break. Sheesh.
