I don't do TikTok myself, but I have friends who do, so I check out the videos they make, while using desktop (late 2014 iMac). Last week, I could do this just fine. Then I started to not be able to load user profile pages properly. Some of the page would load, but not the video section. It would just have a loading animation of a blue and a red ball swirling around. On the trending page of the site however, I can load the videos there. They play fine, although for some reason the comments section doesn't load for any of them. This is all with Safari. So far I've:

• cleared cache
• installed latest OS X updates (10.15)
• restarted the iMac
• repaired system permissions
• Gone to Safari preferences -> Privacy -> Manage Website Data -> Removed everything for TikTok there

However, I also tried Firefox, which just apparently won't load the site at all.

I have a MacBook Air as well, with the latest OS X as well, but it can load the pages just fine. What's wrong with my iMac?

Edit:
Now having the same issue with the MacBook Air.

Edit 2:
Update: Oddly enough the iMac started loading Tiktok just fine today. Refreshed and tried a few user pages and it all seems to be fine. I'd assume it was a Tiktok issue, but then again, other people I talked with had no issues loading anything.
