After some browsing in Safari I find that the sites on the 'Top Sites' page stop responding to mouse clicks - i.e. when clicked, a web page does not open.
If I type a URL in the address bar, that still works.
If I open a new tab, and click on a Top Site tile there, the web page opens, but Top Sites on the old tab still does not work.
Does anybody know a solution?

It does this on two different systems and it's been present over multiple OS versions
