I'm desperately trying to get my windows to stay where I put them & stay the size I need them. I have done these things:
1. Changed the suggested settings under Desktop & Dock /Windows
2. Verified that Stage Manager is off
3. Set "Click wallpaper to reveal desktop" to "Only in Stage Manager" rather than "Always"

When I work I usually need multiple windows open & I position them so I can click on what I need from any of the others. Since the last update I have to keep re-sizing & re-positioning which wastes time.
I need to find an efficient way to work with the new system. What else can I do?

Mac OS Sequoia 15.6.1

Not that it will make a difference, but the last version of Sequoia is 15.7.1

Maybe only updating to that (without touching Tahoe 26) might help?

Otherwise your settings should work, after a restart for good measure.

Thanks for the response. I'm set up to update tonight. Hopefully that will help.

I have Apple's tiling disabled and run BetterSnapTool for tiling in its "classic" mode, along with Stay to keep windows where I want them (and reset them with a keyboard command). If you're as particular as I am about this stuff, it's worth a shot.

I was not aware, there's actually a 15.7.2 now...

Again, the jury is still out as to whether it helps or not. Fingers crossed.
