Well who woulda thought it, but it seems Mr. Cook goes to my gym. He's really putting in the work though, so I can respect that. I was about to go up to him to ask him if he could give me a discounted Mac Pro when it comes out, but he left before I got the chance. It's always good to see his friendly face though. Nice to know where I can go for help with my iPhones and Macs. See ya later Tim! ;)

Nope....

Rather the OP is being facetious or not, let me use my detective work to break this down:

The right ear is completely different (As in outer/inner ear/also the thickness of the upper ear outer side of the ear is different on the fake Cook/length as well) compared to the real Tim photo below, also the nose is slightly different, where the real Tim Cook’s slightly slopes down a bit.

Also, just gauging from a side profile look with the Fake Cook, there’s something off with the eyes that does not look like Tim Cook either.

Just my opinion, but photographing people in the gym (and other similar settings) and posting the photos online is pretty bad form.

Then again, I might be missing a joke here, that's happening a lot recently. Hopefully a better one than that the gentleman looks a bit like Mr. Cook.

Then again, again, maybe these aren't even pictures taken by the OP, in which case I don't even know anymore.

Absolutely agree with this. I was going to mention this earlier, but I interjected something about the Tim Cook discrepancies based off the real photo I posted.

Quick side story:

Ironically enough today, there is a male that I see once in a while that attends the same gym where I work out, he looks exactly like Phil Schiller (Same hair style/color, everything), except probably half of Schillers size. It’s weird, because I do think they’re really are doppelgängers of all of us out there in some form or another, but just located in different parts of the world.

Because some people in this thread are a bit too uptight, I’ll clarify something-this is meant to be facetious (i.e. a joke). There is nothing “wrong” with taking photos of others-whether at the gym or anywhere else. This happens on Instagram/Facebook and other social media every day. This is no different.

Um, while taking photos in public places is okay many gyms are private so club rules apply. Both LifeTime and 24 Hour Fitness have rules governing it. And even clubs that do not...taking pictures in the gym is universally lame.

Now excuse me while I yell at the kids to get off my lawn. 🗣 “Hey, you little bastards go make snow angels somewhere else!”

The humor of this thread seems to have gone entirely over your head. First, it is a public gym. Secondly, it wasn’t that I took the photo for no reason, but rather to observe the similarities between this gentleman and Mr. Cook. If you want to go ahead and complain that it’s wrong or invasive, then that’s your choice; but this is simply for humor and nothing more. Don’t take it too seriously.

I didn't need anyone taking pictures to realize that yes gosh blast it, my own primary physician was a member of my gym.

So disappointing to have my #1 grudge about that doctor removed: "how can he ship us off to a gym, how would he like to spend all this time working out". Turns out, per the clerk at the desk, he's there every night for an hour and a half...

Worse than that was running into him in the grocery one evening. There he was all tricked out in his jogging attire complete with water bottle attached at the hip... so there we were in the checkout line, me with 2 pints of Cherry Garcia frozen yogurt in the top rack of my shopping cart, and he had the makings of salads, like carrots, spinach and tomatoes.

"You can run, but you can't hide..." -- not what he said, but close enough!

There should be a rule about doctors and supermarkets, they should to have post their shopping hours in advance so the rest of us aren't outed for the forbidden foods that land in our grocery carts.

I think if you approached them and asked first so you’d get a grinning photo in good humour, it would be a lot funnier. A distant peeping Tom picture is just a bit... lame.

Got it. Sorry, my sense of humor is my greatest weakness.

Well to be honest, face-on he didn’t look as much like Tim, but from the side he did.

All of this was really just on an impulse. I didn’t really have time to think about it and plan it out.

Well back in the early 90s doing my (first) Masters at Carleton University in Ottawa I used to go to the gym which was open to students/alumnae, faculty and the public. There was a double of Eduard Shevardnadze and a guy who I called "beach boy" (in my head) although he probably looked more like a Deadhead. Deadhead guy was in his 60s skinny, long curly white hair and sandles and always looked ready to bust a vessel lifting weights. Eduard was a similar age but looked more fit. I think he actually was from the region to be honest - no way he was the actual Eduard Shevardnadze though.

Nice. I once met Aleksandr Karelin in Tbilisi. Actually my best friend wrestled him there. Sorry, I just realized it wasn’t the actual Shevardnadze.
