The latest tweet from Tim Cook says "via iOS"

I might be wrong but I thought if you are using iOS 7 you cannot tweet directly from the OS?

Is he using iOS 6 or an unreleased version of iOS that adds the tweet buttons back?

what if you do it with Siri? Would that show as through iOS? I don't have twitter or else I would test

What are you using to read that Tweet? Maybe it simply means he used Twitter on his iPhone or iPad versus Tweeting from a computer.

in Safari you can tweet from the webpage your on. the center button at the bottom of the browser opens up options to share via Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Ah that's probably it! Somebody has to use Siri..

Just tested - and yes tweeting via Siri would explain it. Bit tricky to get the hashtags and links in via Siri though.

Yeah this is most likely what he did. Nothing to see here :p

Tim probably still uses iOS 6 for now. No way would he use Siri so cumbersomely.

I remember he was using a 4S after the iPhone 5 had just come out. Now he uses an iPhone 5 the last time he took it out at a conference.

I would think there is internal company software that hasn't been updated to iOS 7 yet.

nah man. tweeting hashtags, exclamation marks and website addresses by voice would have taken a long time and frustration
my bet is he stayed with ios 6

i remember a while back people were weirded out by the fact that steve jobs was still on leopard in the age of snow leopard. and using an older macbook pro, when the unibodys were already out.

these guys are using their apple gear as work equipment, not toys like most of us. and, like my work machine at work which is still on win 7 and office 2007, updates and upgrades often come wayyy later than our toy machines.

for work machines, if its not broken, dont fix it.

You can also tell Siri "Tweet", tap on the balloon, and type away. I think it still says 'via iOS' if you do it that way.
