I just recently bought the 2010 15" MacBook Pro, my first Mac! I am interested in purchasing a messenger bag and came across the Timbuk2 D-Lux Messenger Bag. But I'm not sure which size I need to get since the dimensions for the two available sizes are the following:

Small Size: Width =14.97 inches, Depth = 9.05 inches
Medium Size: Width = 17.90, Depth = 10.20 inches

It seems that the 15" MacBook Pro has no problems with the width of the Small Size at 14.35 inches, but the depth of the notebook exceeds the Small Size at 9.82 inches...

So for people here who are familiar with Timbuk2 products, would you suggest the Small or the Medium for my 15" MacBook Pro?

Thanks for the help in advance! :)

Medium is correct. Its actually slightly too long, but your MBP won't fit in the small.

Thanks! I just pulled the trigger on the Medium after reading your reply :)

How do you like the D-lux bag? I'm really struggling on a decision here after needing to replace the Commute 2.0. I need a bag; it was replaced under warranty; and now I've got $140 to spend at the Timbuk2 store. I was hoping to not have to bag shop again for a while, but here I am.

So, your thoughts on the D-lux?
