This question goes out specifically to Timbuk2 Messenger Bag Owners... More specifically to anybody that owns a Small Timbuk2 Messenger Bag with one of the laptop sleeves built in.

Based upon the dimensions on their website, a 15" Unibody Macbook Pro should fit in their "Small" size messenger bag laptop sleeve's (say's it holds up to 15" wide, which the MBP is about 14.6"). However, their website states that the Small fits "Most 13" laptops" and also I've heard that these specs are somewhat overstated.

Can anyone possibly try putting a 15" MBP in one of the laptop sleeves if you own one, or maybe speculate if it would? I've looked and looked online to no avail, no stores around me carry them, and their response to my email was pretty darn vague.

Thanks a ton to anybody that helps, or has any info at all!

I have a medium one. The top .5" of the 2011 Macbook Pro 15" sticks out above the laptop compartment, meaning part of it has no padding.

I can't speak for the small, but can only imagine it is worse.

I've also noticed many bags have laptop compartments that are too thick. the MBP is pretty thin compared to the average laptop.

I've wrote a few reviews on cases @ Amazon.

At our house we have a small, medium and large custom messenger bags from Timbuk2. No way will a 15" go in a small messenger. My wife's macbook will go, but thats a stretch. The small really is small IMO. The medium was a perfect fit for my 15MBP. The new Large size I have now would be perfect for the 17 but I use it for my work laptop and an iPad2. The large is not for the faint of heart, it's huge!

Go medium and make it yours. The bag will outlast you.
