First of all -- this is my first macbook. I took the plunge & came over the mac side of the world. I'll describe my settings/needs as best I can... although I'm not really sure how to go about setting up my network for my specific needs.
I've got 2 external drives (250gb & 500gb, both usb connections - no firewire). The 500gb is just about FULL with music. I would like to setup my time capsule to hold ALL of my music, yet would also like to set it up to do the timed backups. Is there a way to specify a certain amount of storage on my TC for backups & leave the rest of the storage for music alone? My main goal is to have access to my music collection (on my time capsule) to play through my home stereo via the airport express.
I'm sure I'll have some photos & random files on my mac to backup to the TC, but no major work requiring daily backups.
I hope I've described my situation.... I'd like to go ahead & say please/thanks to the forums here. The advice will hopefully save a few headaches & many hours of guessing my through this.
