Hey all.

So I've just moved all my stuff onto an external firewire/usb drive, and now want to use it as an AirDisk with my new TC (even if it is shockingly slow).

However, on first mounting it, the drive appears totally empty.

I've now discovered that it's because the TC has created a 'Shared' folder on the drive which it mounts, and wont allow access to the drive itself.

Is there any way to persuade the TC to use the disk as is? It seems totally stupid to have to move all the files into this Shared Folder, as when it's then mounted locally via firewire I'll have to go via the shared folder all the time - UGLY! :(

Any suggestions or hacks I've not seen? Seems very un-Apple (or does it?) to be this inflexible and make such a bizzare assumption that you wouldn't want to share a regular drive without having to move everything around.
