Hi everyone. I replaced my Airport Extreme with a Time Capsule last year, before the newer duel band came out. Since I am running other wifi devices (PS3, iPhones), I know that I am missing out on the 802.11n and it should be defaulting to the 802.11g. Can I chain my Airport Extreme using ethernet cable off the time capsule and have TC dedicated at 802.11n and the AE at 802.11g?

Yes, you can use the AP Extreme to extend your wireless network and it should work at 802.11g.

Thanks. I am wanting to use a dedicated 802.11n signal for my MBP and iPad, everything else can use the "g" network.

Connect your AEBS to your TC via Ethernet and set it up in Bridge Mode (Internet Connection Sharing > Off (Bridge Mode)). Then set your TC to 802.11 n only (either 2.4 or 5 GHz) and your AEBS to 802.11 b/g/n. Give each a unique SSID and you're set.

Not sure if that was a question or a statement. Anyhow they are able to run simultaneous bands at the same time.
