I am using a 500GB Time Capsule at work, and we actually just had it swapped out because it would not generate a wireless network that any other computer could see.

Well, the new one does the same thing.

I have it configured for bridge mode because we have a wired network created by a Linksys RV042, creating a 802.11n (b/g compatible) network. No other wireless routers are in the same area, in fact we don't commonly even see any others, though occasionally one pops up from across the street. We also had an Airport Extreme (old model, the UFO type) that was being used for the wireless network while the old Time Capsule was in place because the wireless in the Time Capsule didn't work.

I am able to pick up a very fast and very good signal with my iPod touch, if I place it directly on top of the router (almost in direct contact), but if I turn around with it in my hand just a few feet away, the signal is lost completely. Four computers sitting within 3-6 feet of the router don't see the signal at all, with the exception of the closest one which sees it intermittently. This happens with Interference Robustness on or off. With IR on, the computer up front (on the other side of a wooden wall) sees the network sporadically, but does not connect (times out or simply fails to join the network). With IR off, it doesn't see it at all.

I am at a loss here. I can't find any configuration issues that should be causing this, there are no sources of interference that I know of (no other wireless devices in the store of any type, it's sitting next to other wired networking equipment and a UPS unit, but neither of those should be able to cause interference), and this is the second unit with the same symptoms!

Help?!
