Time Capsule and 2 computers

Set up my 1 TB Time Capsule last night, have Time Machine backing up my iMac to it right now. I also have an Macbook Air, if I choose Time Machine to Back up to that TC, does it create a separate area for the MBA backup?

It almost seems best just to get another drive and use SuperDuper to backup the MBA to that drive.

TimeMachine automatically backs up into a folder with the name of the machine so, yes you can use the same TimeCapsule for 2 machines.
