I have a 500gb time capsule and attached are 2 external USB hdd. If I go through the finder I can see them as part of the network and can access all 3 drives. They show up as folders and not drives. My question is this, how do I mount them to the desktop so they appear as drives (blue icons I would assume?)

I am trying to do this on a C2D Mini as well as a Blackbook. Also, I can time machine to the TC but have not tried to TM to one of the USB drives. One of the USB drives is HFS+ Jounaled while the other is Fat until I can clean it off.

Any help would be great. thanks!

Left click on your desktop. Go to the "Finder" menu. Go to preferences. Check the box that says "connected servers"
