I live in a duplex and the landlord provides Internet, but the main router is in her half and I don't have physical access to it.

What I would like to do is get a time capsule so I can use time machine and have ethernet access for my DirecTV box and PS3. In using time machine, I'd like to have n access for my macs to the time machine as the currrent router is only g.

So my question is, can the dual band time capsule receive the g signal coming from the landlords router (which is probably not at apple router) and then share that connection out as a new n network in my side of the house?

I know that won't do anything for speed with the Internet connection - I'm mainly concerned about all the devices on my side of the duplex, and getting Internet access to the devices that don't have wifi.
