Our Mac is full of photos, music and home video and we have just got a time capsule. We want to use it as an external hard drive (ie store all our media on it but be able to access our media via the Mac as required) but also as an automatic backup.
I have created a media file on the time capsule and changed the iTunes media folder location (through iTunes, Preferences, Advanced). But a song I deleted in iTunes before changing the iTunes media folder location does not appear in the iTunes library after this change - ie it seems that the iTunes media folder location hasn't changed.
Any ideas? Am I overcomplicating this? I want to be able to remove all our music and photos from the Mac to free up space, but be able to access them as though they are still in there.
Thanks
