Time Capsule as Video storage for AppleTV

Hi the title says it all really, in the ideal world I would like a NAS box to store Tv Shows and Movies on it from DVD rips to that I can watch them on the Apple TV.

Would Time Capsule work like that? I did use front row like that by putting a shortcut to the movies folder on an external HD in the Movies folder in my users folder. Would I be able to do that?

At least for now it doesn't work. Apple TV streams from iTunes. If your iTunes Library is on the Time Capsule ot would have to stream from there to the mac and then back to Apple TV.

Something tells me that would slow the connection to the point where you could not watch without problems.
