Hello everyone,
I have a 1st gen. Time Capsule and it works great however, I recently had to switch from 802.11n (b/g compatible) to 802.11n only (2.4GHz) to use a Plex Media server and for it to handle transfering a HD video stream to my MacBook Pro. It works great.
Only problem: My Nintendo Wii cannot connect to a 2.4GHz Radio Mode. I thought about getting an Airport Extreme as an extender and setting it to 802.11n (b/g compatible) so that the Wii can connect to it instead of the Time Capsule.
Would this work? Going from a Time Capsule @ 2.4GHz to an extender only using 802.11n (b/g compatible)?
I already tried 5GHz and my iPhone cannot connect to it however, it can connect to a 2.4GHz.
Here is a list of my computers and peripherals that use the wireless/provide the wireless:
*Apple iMac 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
*Apple MacBook Pro 2.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
*Apple Time Capsule (500GB)
*Apple iPhone 4
*Nintendo Wii
Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!
