hi,

I used to do my time machine backups on an external drive.

I'm now trying to set it up so it will back up on my Time Capsule. (With Time Machine)

I select the time capsule and start backing up but it doesn't seems to work like it did in the past.

Time Machine keeps mounting something on the desktop and when the backup is complete. All there is in the time capsule is 1 single file that says backup and you can't do anything with it. It's not a folder that you can see all the files inside like the other backups.

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. Time Machine backs up to networked drives differently than locally connected drives. It creates a sparsebundle file that is an archive of all the files on your disk. The way to access the files is through Time Machine itself. And that thing that it mounts on your desktop is normal. It's the image of the backup (if I'm not mistaken).
