I have a 13" MacBook Pro and it took just under 30 minutes to do a 2GB Time Machine backup. Given what I've heard about how slow Time Capsule is I would have thought nothing of it EXCEPT that my wife's MacBook only took 4 minutes to do a 2GB Time Machine backup.

They're both setup wirelessly (N). I don't know how they could be setup differently in a way that would cause this problem.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

False alarm. Stupidly, I didn't take the presence of walls into consideration. In my original "test" the two computers were equidistance apart, but the MB had line of sight to the TC, the MBP had a couple of walls between.

When I repeated this test with them sitting next to each other on my coffee table the MBP actually bested the MB.

Good thing I didn't actually need help, cuz it didn't come :)
