Time capsule.....crazy slow!?

Maybe Im doing something wrong. But I got a time capsule on wed. Now it's hardwired to my computer it took a day and a half to calculate what files to exclude. And another day to backup 500gb. Is it really supposed to be this slow?

Which generation of Time Capsule do you have?

My first generation takes about 4 hours per 100GB to do its initial backup. I heard the newer ones are alot faster. Once that initial backup is done, all my normal backups are fast though.

4th generation. My initial backup is 1.5tb
