Time Capsule + Drobo and extending network

I want to connect a Drobo to a time capsule and have the tc extending my network in my house.

How would I do this?

My guess is connect Drobo to USB on time capsule and connect tc using Ethernet to my wireless router then set up the network as range extender? Is that correct?

I have partitioned my 1TB iMac drive half for windows and half for Mac. I only want to back up the Mac partition.
