Time capsule dual band SSID question

I am wondering

With the dual band, is it possible to create two SSIDs so that one is always 2.4g hz and the other is always 5ghz? With different passphrases for each?

I want to ensure that the devices always connect at 5ghz if the device supports it.

Also what speeds are the bands? 300/300?

I have not yet purchased the TC

Yes it is. Not sure about a different passphrse for each but definitely different SSID's. Different SSID's is enough to partition clients.

5Ghz will definitely operate at 300Mbs for clients that can handle it. I've never tested the 2.4Ghz band for max throughput because all my desktops connect at 5Ghz. I'll have to check it out when I get home later today.

Theoretically, you'd be able to hit 450mbps on compatible devices (Modern MBPs, iMacs etc).

This is possible.

1. home network.
2. guest network.
you can create a passphrase for EACh network separately.
