Hey, I just bought a new MBP to replace my old one, so I want to move my backup files of my old MBP to an external HDD to allow more room for the new machine. Apple told me to just drag-and-drop the folder of backups to the desktop of my old machine, but I got Error number 1426. Anyone know why this might happen?

The weird thing is, if I go into the folders several times to where it says "Macintosh HD", I can drag those folders just fine, but not the folders even just one level above.

Any suggestions to fix the problem or a better way to move the backups to an external drive would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Time Capsule Error 1426 Help

Bro Not sure if this will work but I having the same problem what I just did and seems to be working is, put your files in your trash. Then move it out of your trash to were you want them. It seems to be working for me right now!

Hope this helps
