Time Capsule & External Blu Ray Drive?

Will an external blu ray drive when plugged into the USB port of the Time Capsule work? Such that by doing so, from my MacBook I would see the blue ray drive as a network attached optical drive? Then in turn, I would use my Apple TV device and mirror my MacBook desktop interface onto a big screen TV, insert blu ray movie into drive, and then play and control the blu ray movie from my MacBook or even the physical Apple Remote or the Remote app for iPhone and iPad?
