Time Capsule External Drive will not mount as Airport Disk

I just setup a new Time Capsule 500GB with the latest firmware preinstalled and plugged a Seagate Freeagent into it so I could use it as a backup drive(not for time machine) in addition to the internal drive I wanted to use for Time Machine. It detects the drive in Airport utility and in Time machine, but it will not mount into the finder. How can I fix this?
