Hey there,

so I have a 500GB TC running time machine. But I also have around 65GB of video and 10GB of music on my laptop and I am starting to running out of HD space on the laptop.

I know that on other external HDs my iTunes can run video directly off of the external HD so as not to take up disc space on the laptop. Is there anyway to do this on the Time Capsule?

Thanks!

the only way that i had figured out was to copy all the music and video over to the TC then delete it off the computer. the itunes library should stay in itunes, this is of course you downloaded it from another source other than the itunes store. once all the files are copied to the TC, you should be able to open up TC, click on the file you want to open, select open with, and open with the media program of choice(i prefer vlc) and it should play it right off the HDD without dragging the file back on the computer.
