So, i've heard that the first backup should be via Ethernet. So i've set my TC to connect via Ethernet(from the airport utility). But in the future i want all my backups to be wirelessly. What should i do then? Go to airport utility and change my settings from ethernet to add my time capsule in my current network?

If yes then time capsule will create a network that will be transmitted everywhere nearby. How will i be able to protect my time capsule network with a password so as no one can connect to it(no one but me of course!)?

I don't know if this interests you but i want to be connected to my router's network and also have another "locked" network from time capsule.

There are 2 settings that require a password: router and encryption.

The router password will prevent others from changing your router settings.

The encryption password will prevent others from accessing your wireless network.

For encryption, higher to lower security it goes WPA2 > WPA > WEP > open network. So use WPA2 or WPA.
