I have about 600GB of data to transfer and I understand that if I try to do it wirelessly I may grow old waiting for it to happen.

I understand an initial transfer can be thru and ethernet cable. I am going to head out an buy one now, but I understand there are other steps.

Has anyone done it and know how to do it?

THANKS

There is really no other steps. Time Machine will do it for you. As you said, ethernet is the way to do it. Yes it will take a long time, but after that it is fast and very efficient. Great choice.

I was told I needed to make some adjustments to my screensaver and energysaver settings. And do I need to turn the airport off or leave it on?
