Hi friends,

I don't have enough space at my Time Capsule, and I noticed that I have backed-up some silly big folders like Downloads. So I assigned them for not to take backup. But time machine already took backup of them and keeps space in Time Capsule.

So;
  1. I run in Time Machine
  2. Select the Download folder
  3. and clicked "Delete all backups of Downloads" at the setting icon

It deleted the backup folder, but my Time Capsule empty space has not changed :/ so what kind of deleting is that? Files are not there, looks like deleted, but there is no change at Time Capsule size :/

what am I missing?!

Appreciate helps!! Thanks a lot!

Was there anything actually in the Downloads folder? Deleting an empty folder multiple times won't really free up any meaningful space. Also, did you empty the trash? Space stats won't change until after you empty the trash.

Yes there was many files, totally over 17 GB... and yes I emptied the trash
