Hi- I have a few questions.

I have a MacBook and an iMac. I bought the iMac a few years ago because my itunes collection had outgrown my laptop and the external hard drive i was using crashed because I unplugged it to, you know, MOVE my laptop one too many times. So I bought an iMac which I basically don't use except as a media storage unit and I usually use my MacBook's screen sharing to control it.

In order to prevent a future crash and loss of my music, I've been backing up my iLife with DVDs but I'm tired of using 12 DVDs per month for a backup. I'm thinking of getting a TimeCapsule, but want to know:

I want to (eventually, when my iMac dies) just have some sort of external media storage and use my laptop to access it. Would the TimeCapsule work for this? If I store my music on the TimeCapsule, would I have to have another external hard drive for backup? Is there a better solution out there for what I'm trying to do?

Thanks for any suggestions!
