Time Capsule not backing up correctly?

My Dad got a new MBP and he probably has over 12 GB of just straight excel docs ect.
He has 164 GB available on his HD, when he backs up to Time Capsule it says he has 10 GB to backup, OK so we let it sit over night and let it do its thing, everything he goes back to back up he has 10 GB to backup even when the last backup said it worked correctly.... I know he hasnt got that many files since his last back up...Any tips?

Any chance he has Aperture running on that new computer? Take a look at this.
Take note of the 3rd section here as well, the computer name wasn't changed at some point was it?

Hmm.. Im pretty sure he doesn't even own aperture, and I don't think he changed his name. Thanks for the help anyways though.

I think i will just delete his backup on the Time Capsule and redo his whole backup...
