Time Capsule or other external drive?

I mainly want to use it for Time Machine so that all of my stuff is backed up. I have had 2 LaCie drives that have quit working just after their warranty expired (of course :p). I want at least 500GB of space.

Is the Time Capsule the best option or is there another drive you recommend?
