After a bad experience last time I tried to upgrade my Airport network, I want to find out before buying anything whether this will work. I want to add a Time Capsule (probably not the current version) to my existing network. An existing Airport Express is and will remain physically connected to the DSL modem, and I need ethernet ports available at the other end where I'm thinking of putting the Time Capsule. Will this work, and if it won't, why is it designed not to?

I already got burned a couple years ago because Apple, for no reason whatsoever, decided that nobody could possibly need to extend a wireless network twice in the same direction and removed that feature from newer Airports without telling anyone.
