When the Time Capsule came out, it was pretty reasonably priced, as 1TB drives were over $300. But now with 1TB drives under the $100 mark, the $500 price has gone from "reasonable" to "ridiculously overpriced".

Anyone know if price drops are expected soon? I realize Apple has a policy of not dropping prices often, but storage drops in price so quickly that enacting this policy for the Time Capsule is ridiculous. I don't know of anyone personally who would pay $500 for a 1TB NAS right now, even *with* the built in access point.

Time Capsule price -- any drop expected soon?

Hello There,

Just to let you know, you can bid on a new in box on Ebay. I just got one for $390 plus $10 ship and some are going a bit cheaper. Hope this info helps. MsFiction1:eek::p:apple:
