i am some one who is very new to mac world. i have a new setup in my home and this what i am trying to do....

my 2TB time capsule is connected to my imac thru Ethernet cable, i have it setup the time machine in it and after few hours it have created a .sparebundle file...which i am assuming is the backup image.

how i am trying to share music and photos on wireless network so my wife can view those files with her macbook pro... i have setup the share file option to ON in the time capsule setup.... but the only thing she sees on her finder is the folder with .sparebundle in it?

in simple world how do i share files with time capsule i searched all internet and apple.com site ..but cant seems to figure out .

also i connected my old 1 TB maxtron external HD to Time capsule via USB and technically i should see with my wife's laptop but i dont ? how can i get this to work ...

sorry for this newbie question but no other place i found info with helped

Time Machine backup files are not readable AFAIK, they are compressed somehow.

I would turn on file sharing in your iMac because the files in your iMac are not compressed so they should work. Open System Prefs -> Sharing -> Check "File sharing" box and select the files you want to share. See this article for further help.

Not all HDs work wirelessly with TC, I'm not a specialist with them
