Time Capsule Question

I have a question regarding the Time Capsule and how I can use it with my existing home network. My network is as follows:

Cable Modem >> Netgear 8-port router >> Belkin access point/ethernet jacks

I'd like to use the Time Capsule as an acess point - effectively replace the Belkin router with the Time Capsule.

My house's wiring all home-runs back to a box upstairs, and I need more than the three outbound ports the Time Capsule offers. Additionally, the location of the router, if I place the Time Capsule there, would give me coverage issues.

Is this possible?
