i Purchased a Macbook Pro second hand loaded with software, i'm considering getting a imac and ipad's for my home now. will the software just load in and open(meaning preform all operations)?

i'm asking because i do not own the boxes or serial number i don't want to lose all the great apps/programs!

Maybe. If you use a Time Machine backup as the source, then use Migration Assistant on the new machine to import the Time Machine data, yes... it will bring over every single app. The problem is some apps will detect they are now on a new machine ands require you to reenter registration info. MS and Adobe apps seem particularly fussy about this. Many apps will work just fine though.
