Hello
I am wanting to purchase a 2TB Time Capsule, however I would like to know a few things before I go ahead.
I currently have a 3 story house.
On the bottom floor I have my ADSL socket and a Linksys WAG320N ADSL Router connected to it.
On the middle floor I have my study, with my iMac and my partners Mac Mini. They connect wirelessly to the WAG320
What I was wonder is, would it be possible to put the Time Capsule in the study, connecting the iMac and Mini via Ethernet, and have it connect wirelessly to the WAG320N to get the internet.....like a bridge? Instead of having to plug the WAG320N into the TC WAN..
The WAG320N is in 5Ghz mode and so would the Time Capsule.
Im presuming if they can connect to each other, they would be able to operate as one network? As in something connected to the WAG320 via wireless or ethernet could see the devices connected wired/wireless to the Time Capsule....and vice versa...?
Also, would the Time Capsule show up in finder as a shared drive? And how does Time Machine work.
I am a bit new to NAS and auto-backup so need a bit of hand holding.
If the TC and WAG320N cant connect to each other wirelessly, then I suppose I could swap out the WAG320N for a dedicated ADSL modem, and use a Home Plug to send the internetz to the TC WAN port.
Thank you
Hope that all made sense lol
