I have a block of 8 static IPs, my ISP is AT&T, I'm on ftth and my cpe is a 3800RG, the TC is in the DMZ, I can easily access it remotely with my MBP and with my iPad2 at home via FileBrowser but have not been able to connect via a PC remotely, nor have I been able to connect remotely with my iPad. I have SMB turned on but I've read here and there that Apple is only allowing remote connections via afp. Can anyone definitively confirm or deny that?

Has anyone successfully connected remotely via iPad? I was using Tappin (on the iPad and PC) to access my former NAS which was a Seagate BlackArmor but have not found a way to access the TC with Tappin.

In order to connect to home I have to carry my MBP around with me and that is not good...

Thanks in advance,
-Gary

Edit: Upon the advice of another user I followed this link: http://www.stratospherix.com/support/gsw_timecapsule.php?page=5remote
seems to have fixed the iPad connectivity issue.
